Fabral Metal Roof Repairs at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport - Panama City FL
Restoration Commercial Roofing Services were contacted to assess the commercial seamless metal roof at the Northwest Florida International Airport in Panama City Beach, Florida. Our team completed a thorough evaluation of the mechanically seamed metal roofing system and identified several areas in need of repair. Some exposed sections required new flashing to restore complete weatherproofing and ensure long-term performance. We mobilized promptly and carried out all repairs in full compliance with OSHA safety standards and current Florida code requirements. Throughout the project, we coordinated closely with the facility manager and the general contractor to ensure the airport’s daily operations were never disrupted. To maintain the roof’s weather-tightness warranty, we worked directly with the manufacturer, Fabral Metal Roof Systems. The existing roofing system consisted of .050″ aluminum panels, and all mechanical seaming was performed by Restoration Commercial Roofing Services to meet Fabral’s specifications. During the repair process, several panels were removed and replaced—starting from the eave and continuing through the sections where mechanical systems needed to be run through the roof. All work was completed carefully and precisely to remain fully compliant with Fabral’s installation standards and to preserve the roof’s long-term warranty. Another successful project completed by Restoration Commercial Roofing Services—delivering quality, safety, and reliable workmanship on every job.

Project Overview: Restoration Commercial Roofing Services partnered with Joshua Smith, owner of Smith’s Concrete & Construction Services, on a full retrofit and interior/exterior remodel of an existing structural metal building. Because the property is located near the Florida coastline, Mr. Smith requested a roof system specification that would meet or exceed Florida’s strict coastal wind-uplift codes.
Roof System Design & Specification: Our team coordinated a technical review and design meeting with Duro-Last®, a leader in low-slope single-ply membrane systems. After evaluating multiple installation methods, a hybrid installation approach was selected—combining full adhesion with strategic mechanical attachment into the structural purlins—to provide superior long-term performance in coastal wind conditions.

Why PVC Was Selected: Because this facility will experience grease exhaust and other rooftop contaminants common in restaurant operations, a PVC membrane was selected for its excellent resistance to chemicals, heat, and rooftop grease—ensuring longer membrane life and reduced maintenance needs. Project Execution: Despite tight timelines, renovation challenges, and weather delays, our team completed the project ahead of schedule. Safety planning, staging, and material logistics were effectively managed by our project superintendent, resulting in a clean, efficient construction process from start to finish. Proud Partnership: We are grateful for the opportunity to support Joshua Smith and Smith’s Concrete & Construction Services on this project. We also appreciate the owners of Diego’s Mexican Restaurant for trusting Restoration Commercial Roofing Services with their roofing needs.
Diego’s Burrito Factory at 1809 Lynn Haven Pkwy, Lynn Haven, FL 32444 is an exceptional addition
to our commercial roofing portfolio, and we look forward to working with both teams again in future projects.
