Commercial Roof Consulting & TPO Replacement Project - Dothan AL (Carlisle 60-mil Sure-Weld TPO)
Restoration Commercial Roofing Services were contacted by a local architectural firm to provide
advanced roofing product consultation and diagnostic testing on a commercial facility that
manufactures sterile medical products, at 208 Nypro Ln, Dothan, AL 36305.
Diagnostic Testing & Roof Evaluation
Our technical team performed both DEC moisture detection and infrared drone thermography. These
scans confirmed significant moisture intrusion within the insulation on one side of the existing TPO
(Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roof system.
Based on the results, we recommended targeted sectional replacement rather than a full roof
replacement to reduce cost while restoring performance.
Roof Replacement & System Installation
Working closely with the architectural firm and building owner, we scheduled the project, coordinated
clean-room protection requirements, and completed the following scope of work:
– Full removal of all wet and compromised insulation
– Installation of new, dry, code-compliant insulation
– Roof reconstruction of the affected section with a Carlisle 60-mil Sure-Weld TPO mechanically
attached system
This system provides long-term durability, superior weldability, and strong uplift resistance—ideal for
facilities where strict environmental control is required.
Clean-Room Criticality
Because the facility houses a sterile packaging clean room for medical-grade products, maintaining a
fully waterproof building envelope is mission-critical. Any water intrusion could jeopardize production
standards, sterility, and compliance.
Our team followed strict moisture-control and cleanliness protocols to protect the building’s sensitive
operations during the roofing work.
Ongoing Proactive Protection
Upon completion, the building owner was enrolled in our RTM – Roof Top Maintenance Program to
extend the life of the roof, reduce long-term expenses, and prevent future moisture issues.
